2024 Administrative Rulemaking

In accordance with Executive Order 2020-01: Zero-Based Regulation, the Industrial Commission is striving to prevent the accumulation of costly, ineffective, and outdated regulations and reduce regulatory burden to achieve a more efficient operation of government. Currently, the Industrial Commission is reexamining the Crime Victims Compensation; IDAPA 17.10.01 – Administrative Rules Under the Crime Victims Compensation Act. Published May 3, 2023 – Vol. 23-5 ,  June 7, 2023 – Vol. 23-6, and September 6, 2023 – Vol. 23-9 of the Idaho Administrative Bulletin.

As part of the Industrial Commission’s rulemaking process, the Commission will be hosting multiple focus groups, also known as negotiated rulemaking, throughout the state to allow the opportunity for Crime Victim Compensation Program (CVCP) stakeholders to share their feedback regarding the proposed rule changes. Following the conclusion of negotiated rulemaking, the Industrial Commission will hold two public hearings in order to receive public testimony and comments.

Following the conclusion of the focus groups, the Industrial Commission will hold two public hearings in order to receive public testimony and comments.

Currently, the Commission is accepting written comments regarding the Crime Victims Compensation rules. Written comments can be submitted to the Commission from now until August 1, 2023. Comments can be submitted to the Commission by emailing Kamerron Slay, Commission Secretary, at Kamerron.Slay@iic.idaho.gov
