No tax dollars are used to fund the program!
The program is funded by:
- Fines imposed as a result of felony and misdemeanor convictions
- Judgments imposed on offenders
- A federal grant; and
- Restitution from offenders
Effective July 1, 2009, the fines imposed will increase as follows:
Misdemeanors: Increases from $25.00 to $37.00
Felonies: Increases from $50.00 to $75.00
Sex Offenses: Increases from $200.00 to $300.00
