Mass Casualty Event Information
The Idaho Crime Victims Compensation Program (CVCP) is committed to supporting victims and their families in the aftermath of mass violence incidents in Idaho. When such events occur, CVCP activates its Incident Response Team to coordinate with law enforcement, victim advocates, and community organizations. This collaboration ensures that victims and families receive clear information, prompt assistance, and access to all available benefits.
What CVCP Does in a Mass Casualty Event
During a mass casualty event, the Idaho Crime Victims Compensation Program (CVCP) works closely with local law enforcement, as well as state and federal partners, to coordinate victim services. The CVCP team may or may not be present on site following the event, but regardless of their physical presence, the program is dedicated to ensuring that victims and families are fully informed about the benefits and support available to them. CVCP provides clear information about compensation options, assists with the application process, and shares timely updates about services and resources as new information becomes available.
